Overview
Wayanad is one of the most popular and exotic district of Kerala, located in southern tip of the Deccan Plateau. It is one of the most picturesque place located at the mountains of the Western Ghats, surrounded by dense forest and deep valleys. The largest part of the district is covered with forest, which is the home of various endangered species of flora and fauna. It is also well known for the plantation of the pepper, cardamom, coffee and tea.
The name of the district is obtain from Vayal Nadu, which means land of paddy fields. The district is also known for indigenous tribals as well. As per archaeological records the forests of the region was inhabited from more the three thousand years.

Itinerary
Day 1 : Kozhikode - Wayanad(By Road - 85 Kilometres) Sightseeing
Upon arrival at the railway station/ airport in Kozhikode. Meet our representative, after welcome, proceed to Wayanad.
On reaching at Wayanad, check in at your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, you will proceed for Chembra Peak, This is one of the most prime attraction of Wayanad. It is most popular among the adventure lovers, it is the main hub for trekking in Wayanad. It offers a distinctive character of Wayanad. It is the highest hill in Wayanad, which is located near Meppady.
You can see the stunning view of the entire Wayanad from Chembra Peak.
You have to take a hike up the peak and on the way, you will find the gorgeous lake which is in a shape of a heart. After exploring the destination, return back to the hotel.

Day 2: Wayanad Sightseeing
Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing. Visit the Pookot Lake which this stunning lake is located at in the wooded hills of the Wayanad region. It one of the most popular picnic spot. It is fresh water lake, which is spread over 8.5 hectares.
The main tourist attractions near lake are such as a children’s park, a fresh water aquarium as well as spices and handicrafts emporium.
You will be thrilled to see the Soojipara Falls This one of the most beautiful waterfall, located at Soochippara near Meppadi. The water flowing from about 100 to 300 feet height, surrounded by lush greenery. You can do water rafting, swimming, bathing here.
Further you go on to visit the Bansurasagar, it is located at the distance of about 15 kilometres away from Kalpetta. It is the India’s largest dam, built on Banasura Lake, on the foot hill of Banasura. It is one of the most popular picnic spot along with that you can also enjoy the boating here.
You also visit the Pakshipathalam and Meenmutty waterfalls, which are also equally beautiful.
After a long day of adventure, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 : Wayanad - Kozhikode(By Road - 85 Kilometres)
